Announcement Of The Nobel Prize For 2021!
The announcement of the Nobel Prizes for the year 2021 has started. The Nobel Prize in Medicine has been awarded to David Julius and Ardum Patapocian of America. He received this award for discovering the receptors that sense temperature and touch.
The Nobel Committee announced these awards in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The committee said that this discovery of both the scientists will help in making new types of pain killers. The discovery is being used to treat chronic pain and a variety of diseases. This discovery tells us how our nervous system senses heat, cold and mechanical stimuli.
Who are the two scientists?
Ardum Patapocian is a professor at Scripps Research, Calif. He has previously done research at the University of California, San Francisco and the California Institute of Technology. Born in 1967, Pataposhiyan is a child of Armenian parents. He was born in Lebanon.
David Julius was born in 1955 in New York City, USA, he earned his PhD in 1984 from the University of California, Berkeley. He is currently a professor at the University of California, San Francisco. He has worked at Columbia University in New York.
Last year, three people received this Nobel,
last year the Nobel Prize in Medicine was jointly given to three scientists Harvey J Alter, Michael Houghton and Charles M Rice. He discovered the hepatitis C virus that damages the liver. This discovery helped in finding a cure for this deadly disease.
The second Nobel Prize to be given this week
begins with the first Nobel Prize in Medicine. After this there is a tradition of awarding the Nobel for Physics and Chemistry. Later the Nobel Prizes for Literature, Peace and then Economics are awarded. The Nobel Prizes will be announced this month from October 4 to 6.

The Nobel, which is more than 100 years old, has been awarded since
1901 by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. In this, the prize money of about 10 million Swedish crowns i.e. 8.5 crore rupees is given. The award was instituted by Alfred Nobel, the inventor and businessman of dynamite.
Alfred created this prestigious award for achievements in science, literature and peace. The amount of the prize comes from the left will of Alfred Nobel. The Nobel for Economics was awarded for the first time in 1969.
